PSP2 to be unveiled at E3?
The Move may not be the only big unveiling Sony Entertainment has at E3 in LA.
A "senior industry source" has told MCV that two key publishers are ramping up their marketing budget for Q4 2010 with regards to a new offensive on the PSP market. Another publisher also told them that he's waiting for a specific announcement from Sony before being able to talk about his future plans for the platform with multiple titles being prepped behind closed doors.
This would suggest that Sony may very well be working on a new PSP which may even be unveiled at E3.
When contacted, Sony made it clear they have no imminent plans for a new PSP, but with sales being all but great and the PSPGo being nothing but a disaster a new PSP handheld seems to be the only way to gain momentum again, especially with the competition from Nintendo (DSi/3DS) and Apple (iPhone/iPad) getting bigger every day.
Still, this is just rumour and speculation so we'll probably have to wait until E3 to see what exactly is going on.
