"I think that Kinect is going to be successful, and in order for it to succeed, the core gamer has to buy it," the Wedbush analyst told IndustryGamers. "I don't see housewives who watch Oprah rushing out and buying Kinect to play games (with the sole exception of Dance Central, my game of the year). I think that if the core gamer in the household buys the peripheral, the Oprah housewives will occasionally play games like Dance Central, and may be less intimidated by the controls over time, allowing them to use the 360 for its other features."
