Pachter: X360 sold twice as much as PS3 in US last month

No actual hardware sales numbers are being released anymore, but Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter apparently is convinced that Microsoft's Xbox 360 has outsold the PS3 in December with a ratio of 2 to 1.

Pachter predicted that Wii sold 2.6 million units in in the US in December, down 32 percent year-over-year; that 360 moved 2.5 million machines, up 91 percent year-on-year; and that PS3 sold 1.2 million consoles, down 12 percent compared to the previous year.

NPD will release their data for December this Thursday so we'll probably hear something that comes close to numbers from all platform holders then. And everyone will probably claim victory as they always do ;)
