On CoolTechZone you can read that a manufacturer from Thailand is ready with the PhysX-card. Of course, this is a card which would concentrate specifically on the physics of a pc-game, in the same way as a soundcard does with... the sound.

Unfortunately, it will not reach the market soon, because there still aren't any games that use it. One of the possible causes is the fact that lots of developers release multiplatform games nowadays. They don't want to invest in a card that can only be used on the computer.

It looks like the computer, always thé platform for progressive technologies, is becoming less innovative for the publishers because of the bigger focus on consoles!
