Things were looking pretty bad for State of Emergency 2, but today Playlogic sent out word that they've signed up DC Studios to continue work on the game and that they themselves will be publishing it worldwide
So, the good news is that the game is back on track and scheduled for release at the end of the year. The bad news is that the planned XBox and PC versions seem to have been canned
Playlogic Entertainment, Inc. and DC Studios today announced the signing of a worldwide publishing agreement for "State of Emergency 2TM" on PlayStation 2, planned for release in the fourth quarter. "SOE2" is the sequel to the number one hit, which sold 1.6 million copies.
"State of Emergency 2TM" takes place 10 years after the original and has SpankyTM, Bull and MacNeill again up against the Corporation. This time, they not only have access to guns but also - for the first time - helicopters, speedboats, Tanks and APCs and new team members.
