Playstation3 security patch gets... hacked

Posted on Thursday, 27 January 2011 by Speed, source: Examiner
Irony: Sony Entertainment has released Firmware 3.56 for their PlayStation 3 to fix security holes and only a few hours ago it's already hacked:

Just over an hour ago, Sony released a new firmware update for the PS3 that only served one function: security. With all the recent hacking incidents of the PS3, it was expected to see a counter by Sony at some point in time and tonight was it. As Sony performed this counter, hackers found a weakness in Sony's defense and have hacked the latest firmware.

It's being reported that hackers have released new keys to workaround the latest firmware update and allow for homebrew to run without any issues.
It's starting to look like chase! How long before Sony releases a new firmware update and how long before that one gets hacked? Fun guaranteed! (except for Sony of course ;p)
