When the Nintendo DS was announced, i knew one thing for sure and that was that the new handheld would be suited perfectly for strategy games. With it's 2 screen including a touchscreen, you could perfectly move your troops, while maintaining a clear oversight on your base or units.

Now Electronic Arts announced that after the succesfull conversion of SimCity towards the DS, they would also make a DS version of Populous. The game will be developed by the same team of SimCity and will be led by Takahiro Murakami.

Screenshots or movies are currently not available, but what we can tell is that there will be more then one god and that multiplayer will support up to four players.
