Portal dev Kim Swift leaves Valve for Dark Void
Kim Swift, Valve Software's most well-known designer of the famous First Person Platformer Portal has left Half-Life developer Valve to start up a new team at Airtight Games, developers of Dark Void
Airtight Games announced the news themselves and they've also said Swift will get the title of "Project Leader" and help lead a team to make games for a more diverse audience. More details about the upcoming games were not given.
Swift started her career in the games industry with her co-devs who worked on the Digipen student project Narbacular Drop. The entire team got assimilated by Valve Software who used the game mechanics for Portal. Swift herself was short and simple regarding her departure:

"I've learned so much and had some amazing experiences at Valve," said Swift in a statement. "But when I heard I had the opportunity to work on innovative titles with my friends over at Airtight, I couldn't pass it up."
