Postal 3 details

Posted on Thursday, 19 October 2006 by Speed, source: Firingsquad
Firingsquad got word from Running with Scissors' Vince Desi that Postal 3 is currently in the works (something we've known for quite a while already) but they did get some interesting tidbits as well

According to what Desi told us today in a brief phone interview, the game will be developed for both the Xbox 360 and PC and will use Valve's Source engine as its basis (Postal 2 used Epic's Unreal Engine 2). Desi also told us that Running With Scissors is teaming up with Russia based Akella who will help Running With Scissors develop and publish the game. However, the game itself is still early in production; Desi told us that the game is currently targeted for a mid to late 2008 release

Seeing the comments from RwS we got 2 years ago on Epic's Unreal engine, it doesn't come as a surprise the company has changed to Valve's Source engine.

Seeing how they were unable to take advantage of UE (noob developer), I think it's best they stay away from it yeah.

Also, imagine how ugly the Source engine will look in 2 years *gross*

I doubt they will stick with the engine tbh, it will probably change a year down the line.
