There will be a sequel to the Nintendo puzzle game 'Professor Layton and the Curious Village' soon, if you may believe Amazon. The webshop included the second game in their release list of August.
For now the return of Professor Layton has not been announced officially by Nintendo, but the description that Amazon gives (among other things tons of new in-game puzzles, several difficulty levels and three times as much spoken dialogue), makes believe that they know what they're talking about.
The Japanese version, better known as Layton Kyouju to Akuma no Hako, has already been released in 2007 and is still selling good. A third game, Layton Kyouju to Saigo no Jikan Ryokou, was released last year.

word has it that there are a total of three in the series of Proff Layton. I know that one of them is called "pandora's box. im not quite sure what the other is. sorry.
