Project Needlemouse is Sonic 4, Trailer inside
Sega has finally unveiled the real name of "Project Needlemouse and it's... Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1! The game will arrive this Summer as a downloadable Hi-def 2D platformer on X360, PS3 and Wii.
SEGA stated the game will take place after the happenings from Sonic & Knuckles on the MegaDrive and added that Sonic - the only playable character by the way - will have his usual possibilities like the Spin Dash, but also a new auto-aiming attack.
On the Wii and PS3 #Sixaxis# you get motion control while X360 and PS3 will have 1080p and online leaderboards.
SEGA also explained a bit about "Episode 1". Sonic 3 was according to them just one part of a larger story that was being done with Sonic & Knuckles. With that same idea this Sonic 4 will be part of a larger whole. At the very least that promises more to come from Sonic.
Hopefully this game will be able to make the past glory of Sonic come back to life again.
