Project Origin delayed to Q1 2009

IGN has learned from the Monolith peeps at the Games Convention that the horror-slowmo shooter Project Origin (aka the unofficial FEAR 2) won't show itself in 2008 anymore.

The previous release date (multiplatform; PC, Xbox360 and PS3 versions are still planned) was set for the fourth of 2008 but for no reasons mentioned that has been changed now to the first quarter of 2009.

Did Monolith feel the heat of so many other FPS's this Fall or do they really need the extra time to make the game a worthwhile experience? In both cases, this remains one to keep an eye on.
