Prototype pushed into 2009
When it was first announced, Prototype was scheduled for a summer 2008 release, it already saw a delay till this fall (and had its co-op multiplayer part scrapped) but that still doesn't seem enough for the developers (Radical Entertainment) to finish the game.
This is what Sierra reps had to say about the move to "2009":
"Since its announcement, Prototype has been regarded by many as groundbreaking and taking the open-world genre in new directions, and in the simplest explanation possible, we need more time to deliver the game the team initially set out to create," the representative said.
