According to Famitsu, Mario Kart for the Wii will make it possible to race online against other players with your own Mii. For anyone who doesn't know what a Mii is: it's a character you can create when you play (online) with your Wii.

Other innovations are for example 'ghosts' which can be downloaded. A 'ghost' is a pre-recorded video of a player that you can race. Online there's the possibility to race with twelve players on 32 different maps, sixteen of these are new. The game will also allow you to do some new tricks, like a wheelie.

In Japan, they are going to release the game on April 10. An official date for Europe hasn't been announced yet.
