Codemasters gave the official word today that their first MMORPG becomes free to play. RF Online was an Asian MMORPG that was published by Codemasters in the Western countries. Bun unlike the Asian gamers, the Westerns ones demand content in their games. Since Codemasters was only the publisher and didn't have control over the ingame content, the game didn't sell well.

People that are still interested, can download the game client and play for free. There will still be micro payments in the game. This means that people that want to be stronger then the other players can pay real money for better items.
