Rare in trouble ?

Posted on Wednesday, 16 February 2005 by Speed, source: Spong
Spong is reporting that Rare, who since the takeover by Microsoft have only created Grabbed by the Ghoulies, will probably not be able to release the highly anticipated Xbox game Conker: Live and Reloaded in March as was announced.

Instead, the game is now rumoured to be released somewhere early this Summer.

More bad news from the developer comes from the fact that Kameo: Elements of Power, the other Xbox title Rare is working on, has been postponed indefinitely.

So, ever since the developer was taken over by Microsoft for $375 million, they've created one game that didn't sell too well, one that won't be released on time and another that's indefinitely postponed... I wonder how long it will take before Microsoft is going to send someone over to Rare to check up on things as I doubt they'll be happy having paid so much money for little to nothing up until now.

Actually, Rare is not in trouble, and yes they have been delaying games since Microsoft bought them out, but they are still as good as they always were, if not better. Microsoft's assessment of Rare let them put Conker live and reloaded on the Xbox, and also Conkers other bad fur day, the sequel will be released for Xbox 360, which will be a welcome change to all the excitement about the PS3.
