Remedy: 'Wake on XBLA is NOT Wake 2'

After the constantly returning unclarity regarding Alan Wakes debut on XBLA (will or won't it be "Alan Wake 2?") the balance now seems to have clearly shifted to "no".
After Major Nelson last Monday said that the digital release would cover just about a full load of "Alan Wake 2", developer Remedy Entertainment came back saying it won't.
On the dev forums, MikkiRMD, alias senior writer Mikko Rautalahti, the following was put up:
We suggest to use Alan Wake 1.5 as title from now on.

Well, I really don't want to talk about this before the VGAs. We've got all sorts of things lined up and I don't want to steal anybody's thunder. I'm very glad that he's excited about it, he's obviously saying very nice things and we're proud of the game!
However, I think that since he invokes the "Alan Wake 2" name, I should reiterate what we've said all along: this new game is not Alan Wake 2, and if we intended it to be that, we'd have named it that. (I know he means it as a compliment, and I appreciate that, I just don't want there to be any confusion about it.)
Next weekend we'll finally get clarity on what kind of game it will be.
