Remedy talks about Alan Wake development

After breaking the long winded silence recently, Remedy is now passing on some new information about its upcoming Alan Wake. In a podcast for the Finnish magazine Pelaaja, Sami Järvi, lead writer for Remedy, talks about the development of the game.
During the 50 minutes long clip we find out why the production of Alan Wake continues at such a relatively slow pace:
Interestingly, Järvi also had some words to ease the minds of the pessimists. He emphasised it was not so much the case of Remedy not being satisfied with the state of Alan Wake, but much rather them trying to make the game all it can be.

"The reason it’s taking so long is simply that it’s a small team and building an open world game is very tough. They just want to take their time with it, but it’s definitely making progress."
We also found out the upcoming Max Payne movie was an added incentive for the developer to come out with something new.
