Resident Evil 4 Wii-version for wimps
Don't you worry, I don't mean that all the gore is going to get banned out of Resident Evil 4 to please those with a sensitive stomach. I'm just saying that Capcom is going to make the Wii-version of the game a little bit more easy.
Kawata:
Apparently, the Gamecube- and PS2-versions of the game were too hard and the developers want to solve that problem by introducing two new difficulty levels; Easy and Amateur. In these modes, an auto-lockfunction and a lasersight with infinite range will help the player significantly.
They also adjusted the way you use the knife. They weren't really satisfied about that but of course the Wii-mote exists to make that better; a simple stab movement suffices and the closer you stand, the more damage is dealt. Simple, isn't it?
Kawata:
"Our concept is 'easier'. The number of hardcore gamers [who own Wii] is relatively small. A lower difficulty can attract Wii gamers but excessive easiness can reduce excitement. Our goal is to make it easier and exciting."
