RtCW: Enemy Territority for free

A while ago news was spread that the single player part of the upcoming Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, was canned. Now, Computer and Videogames in an interview with Splash Damage (the developers) received word that the multiplayer part of that game will be released for free as a stand-alone game
id Software and Activision's recent pulling of the plug on the single-player side of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory has left it up to UK-based Splash Damage to deliver what's left: multiplayer. The online component will now be, according to Splash Damage, delivered as a free stand-alone multiplayer game, news of which has been gleefully applauded here in the office.
