Rumour: MGS4 may not see an American release?

Computer and Videogames is stating that they had an interview with Hideo Kojima and he told them that Metal Gear Solid 4 may possibly not see an American release, due to the low ammount of sold copies of part 3. In Europe and Japan, the game sold great. Here's a quote of the interview:

CVG: Congratulations on Snake Eater, it's already a big hit across the globe both with critics and fans. How does the positive reaction make you feel?
Hideo Kojima: I'm really happy with everything. In the United States I think because Halo 2 and GTA: San Andreas came out at the same time the title hasn't done as well as expected, it's still done moderately well, but it's been doing really well in Japan and Europe so we're very relieved. Maybe I won't even sell the next game in the United States

i'm very please to hear about the release of mgs 4 for the ps3. i think that a good game would be mgs2,sol from the point of view of snake/pliskin.
then carry it on to when snake goes after ocelot.

acid is not the last game if they annonced mgs4 and. I think MGS4 should be about the boss and how she became the boss and go up to the point were she trains snake and stuff

u lots are falling behind! a few characters have already been finalised such as ocelot, snake, someone who looks familier to raiden, meryl, otacon and some more characters that i recognise. go watch the trailer shown at E4.

naomi hunter is in mgs4 this should be interesting she did inject him wihth that virus fox die if u watch the official trailer ull see that the virus is kicking in which will affect gameplay
