Rumour: Raven working on new Bond game?

Posted on Tuesday, 7 December 2010 by Speed, source: MI6
UK Bond site MI6 is reporting that Raven Soft is working on a new James Bond game.

The site is reporting that due to MGM's bankruptcy plans being approved by the courts this week, a Bond game from Raven that was put "on hold" has been green-lit again.
It was not just the MGM situation that put early work on the untitled game on hold, though. There are at least two main development teams at the Activision-owned Raven Software. Earlier this year, one team was finishing work on Activision's new property "Singularity", whilst another was in the early development and design phases of a stealth-centric James Bond game. Development on 007 was put on ice as the resources were re-allocated to work on a series of map packs for the financially lucrative "Call of Duty" franchise.

It is not clear yet when Activision plan to release the 'stealthy' 007 title by Raven Software, but as development was put on ice for six months, fans shouldn't really expect to see anything until this time next year.
To be honest, we tend to take this with a ton of salt.

Earlier this year we already reported that one of the two teams at Raven was completely laid off after the release of Singularity. The other team was repositioned towards making DLC for Call of Duty. MI6 believes that this was only temporary.

However, Raven also had an unannounced X-Men game they were working on and with only one team left, the choice is between DLC for Call of Duty, a new X-Men game and now apparently also an unannounced new James Bond title.

Seeing as Activision - Blizzard ditched Bizarre Creations after release of James Bond: Blood Stone and Eurocom developed 007: Goldeneye, it would be strange to have Raven focus on a James Bond game.

Ravensoft needs to make Soldier of Fortune 3 damnit. Ive no doubt if they would have back when they should have CoD wouldnt be the big Activision franchise right now. SO many elements of CoD4 and up were directly taken from SoF2.
