SC: Conviction, Red Steel 2 and more gets delayed
Bad news from Ubisoft today. Both Splinter Cell: Conviction and Red Steel 2 will only be in stores in the first quarter of 2010.
This was announced during a press conference regarding the financial results of Ubisoft. As if hearing the delay of both games wasn't enough, the next Ghost Recon and survival game I Am Alive are delayed beyond March 2010.
Biggest surprise of course is the delay of Splinter Cell: Conviction. The game was looking quite good on E3 especially with all the gameplay footage and hands-on sessions. An explanation was not given, since Ubisoft tried to divert the attention to the 'good' news. Assassin's Creed 2 is still planned to be released on November 20th.
The publisher also announced that sales dropped around 50% in the first quarter of this year:
