Sea Dogs Preview
Over at BetaBites is a new preview of Sea Dogs, Bethesda's upcoming pirate action/rpg.[BLOCK]I liked Sea Dogs with its excellent graphics and gameplay. Since the game is primarily focused at sea, the sea graphics shone above those on land. Learning to sail the ship at sea had a relatively steep learning curve, but I did enjoy sailing. It would have been a nice addition to have the ability to set hotkeys for more game control. The pirate ship method of combat took a little getting used to, but proved to be fun. I also enjoyed being able to dictate the character's attitude toward his environment, and see how it affected the results. This added depth and role-playing value to the game, as well as replay value. I would recommend Sea Dogs to fans of role-playing games as well as those who just wanted to grow up and be pirates.[/BLOCK]
