Section 8 revealed, trailer released
Posted on Wednesday, 4 July 2007 by Ryuken, source: TimeGate Studios
Developer TimeGate Studios and publisher Gamecock have revealed a tiny bit more of the mysterious sci-fi FPS project called Section 8 (which makes use of, you'll never gonna guess this, Unreal Engine 3). Of course, they are gloating all about it:
They even have a teaser trailer which barely succeeds in teasing we might add but hell, download it anyway (13 MB). Some screens are available at GameInformer but you might as well just watch the trailer.
It's a "cross-platform" game (this includes PC) which should be ready in 2009. Yes, 2009.
“We are ecstatic to be working with a publisher as developer-friendly and supportive of original ideas as Gamecock,” said Adel Chaveleh, President and CEO of TimeGate. “Section 8 is our most ambitious project to date, and it’s really exciting to have the full support of our publisher to deliver the absolute best game possible.”
“Often times we gather in the Cockpit to discuss the ideal developers we want to work with. TimeGate has always been at the top of the list. I can’t wait to let gamers know more about their upcoming masterpiece.” commented Harry Miller, President and Head of Development for Gamecock Media Group.
