Recently, NCsoft's latest MMO, Aion has been getting reports of people finding their accounts hacked and everything cleaned out. Now it seems this isn't related to Aion alone but has expanded to Guild Wars as well.

Players have been reporting that they could accidentally log into other people's master NCSoft accounts and although Guild Wars developer ArenaNet is claiming the recent plague has nothing to do with that, evidence seems to suggest otherwise.

In fact, community Manager Regina Buenaobra mentioned that in response to the current issue, some changes have been made to the NCsoft master account page and password change procedure. So if these aren't related, why make changes to these pages?

Several players are suggesting to avoid getting cleaned out in Guild Wars is to set up a second account which is unrelated to an NCSoft master account and store all your valuables there.
