Sega CEO resigns

It are bad times for CEO's as IGN is reporting that Sega of America's CEO Peter Moore has resigned and his position has been taken over by the CEO of Sega Corporation, the Japanese parent
No reasons for the move were given in Sega's announcement. The company's American operations under fire late last year for lackluster software sales, especially of Sega Sports titles, which Sega blamed for its failure to meet profit expectations.

With Kayama taking control, it would seem Sega of Japan wanted greater control of Sega of America. While nothing further was announced, the placement of Kayama likely means restructuring in the near future for SOA and an approach to marketing and publishing more in line with Sega of Japan's philosophy.
This is the second CEO to resign in a couple of days. I wonder if more will follow...
