When the Dreamcast didn't have the success they hoped for, Sega fell in a deep hole. The company couldn't pay the open bills and had to fire a big part of the personnel. Thanks to the fusion with Sammy, Sega got through and is now back on his feet. Nowadays, they are doing so well that they announced they bought Sports Interactive and Secret Level.

Sports Interactive was without doubt a good decision. They are well-known from the very popular Football Manager series. If Sega did well by buying Secret Level is another question. In a recent past, Secret Level developed the only average America's Army: Rise of a Soldier for Ubisoft.
