Sega to publish Spartan: Total Warrior & buys dev.
Sega has sent out a press release announcing that they have signed a deal with The Creative Assembly, developers of the acclaimed Total War series, to create & publish an action based game called Spartan: Total Warrior. In the meantime, they've also bought the entire development studio.
Spartan: Total Warrior will not be like the RTS games from the Total War series but instead will put you in the feet of a heroic warrior.
Total Warrior will be released on PS2, Xbox and GC in September this year. The first screenshots can be found here locally.
Although Sega has bought The Creative Assembly, the Total War strategy series will still be continued but no news has been given on a new part for the series.
I doubt Activision, who published Rome: Total War, is very happy with this turn of events...
