Serious Sam going Hi-Def
Croteam and CDV have announced a remake of Serious Sam called Serious Sam HD. The game will be released on PC (retail and digital download) and XBLA.
Don't think of it as just a remake of the original as it will be using the Serious Engine 3 which was announced to be used for Serious Sam 3, a game we haven't heard much about anymore since it's original announcement.

Roman Ribaric, CEO of Croteam said "We have been really excited to see Sam being recreated in stunning high definition and to have the opportunity to truly update our hero.
