Servers melt together in EverQuest II

Sony Online Entertainment has confirmed they're starting with merging servers for their MMORPG Everquest II as of November 16th.
In total this will affect sixteen shards, but the most popular severs like Antonia Bayle, Lucan D’Lere, Nagafen and Crushbone are supposed to remain untouched for now.
Producer Dave Georgeson said that the process can take several weeks but that in the end it will be more fun for everyone as more populated servers are more fun to play on than half empty ones. Can't say we disagree with that!
