Since it's incredibly quiet today, I thought to post this anyway.
[URL=http://www.gamespot.co.uk/pc.gamespot/strategy/setl4_uk/preview_fl.html" target=nw>Gamespot UK[/URL] has posted a hands-on preview on BlueByte's upcoming strategy game Settlers 4[BLOCK]Perhaps the most notable change to The Settlers' gameplay is provided with the inclusion of the Dark Tribe, an evil gang of savages hell-bent on sending your settlement back to the Betamax age. Headed by Morbus, a fallen angel, the tribe has been designed to fuse together the construction and the strategy elements of the game into a more cohesive whole than in the previous offerings. Though you will be able to attack members of the Dark Tribe, you will not be able to destroy their buildings, and must instead employ a gardener to revitalise the barren wasteland they leave behind. Three new tribes will be open to the player (the Romans, the Mayans and the Vikings), each with their own individual missions and campaigns, though strangely no female Settlers have been included. The tribes are visually distinct, and all produce different alcoholic refreshments and rear different farm animals.[/BLOCK]
