Sid Meier has a wishlist of sequels
Legendary developer Sid Meier said in a recent interview that both Alpha Centauri and Railroad Tycoon are games they ought to make sequels of.
When asked about Alpha Centauri, he has the following to say:

"That is certainly a game that we had a lot of fun making, an interesting evolution of the Civilization approach," Sid recalls. "We appreciate your enjoyment of the game and we'll put that on the list of games we ought to do."
And about Railroad Tycoon:"I'm unfortunately not able to announce any new products today on the air, but we always appreciate hearing what you liked about games we did in the past, and we'll add that to our request list."
So no new announcements just yet but we wouldn't be surprised if we hear something more after Sid Meier’s Civilization V gets released (or maybe even at E3?)In other news:
