Silent hill 2 movie without director and writer

The movie based upon Silent Hill can be considered one of the better ones based on games. Some of the views were directly copied from the games, the streets matched perfectly and the necessary characters were added.
It's a shame then that Christophe Gans, the director of the movie and also the well done Brotherhood of the Wolf(Le Pacte des Loups) doesn't have the time to direct the sequel. To make matters worse, the screenwriter Roger Avary told us that if Christophe isn't directing, he won't be writing the story. This person is no amateur, since he wrote the script for Pulp Fiction and Rules of Attraction.
They better not contact Uwe Boll...

I hated and I hate this movie, for it killed the game and it's a shame that so many fans think that this is a good movie, I just don't get it...
P.D. I'm really happy that CG and RA are out, it gives me some hope, at least until see who will be in the new crew.
