just a question that might be in forum but why the hell did u guys do the fileprovider thing, i mean last time fraglands servers were full was like 2 months ago adn fragland is THE fastest server download website i know, always at 350kbs for me!

We can't put EVERY download on our servers. That's what we have FP for, mostly less important downloads.

Fragland servers are definitely not for everyone the fastest, it's always nice to have alternatives :-) Don't worry, we still try to to put all the big popular files local too.

derf: our servers are located in Belgium but we're on the Chello network which means we've got very high speed for all countries connected to them (including Scandinavia, UK, Netherlands, etc etc etc)
We've once even had a Japanese fellow claiming to get 1 MB/Sec downloadspeed on our servers :)

The fileprovider site is - as Cobralord stated - a source for all gaming related files and not only the big ones. We're not really saving space but the thing is that it's hardly possible to put EVERYTHING locally available and even much bigger sites than ours get hammered from time to time so then it's great to have one place where you can find all mirrors together so you don't have to search for yourself :)

This is also the reason why we put up all the mirrors too....share the download traffic otherwise our poor servers will get hammered too.
