Sony CFO happy with PS3 selling less

Posted on Tuesday, 31 July 2007 by Speed, source: MyArcadePlanet
Sony has announced its financial results for the last quarter and SCEA and Chief Financial Officer Nobuyuki Oneda is very optimistic. The reason: the PS3 didn't sell as well as everyone had hoped.

" Actually, because the number of units sold was not as high as we hoped, the loss was better than our original expectation."

Well, it's one way to look at it :-)

lmfao, if they sell more units they celebrate. If they sell less units they celebrate because if they had sold more it would have cost more.

I swear I've been saying this for more than a year now since the loss per unit amounts were first speculated :P

The guy that posted after Ninjafish needs to learn how to spell before posting... I have a PS3, it is a high quality machine, and doesn't freeze up like my 360 does. So that is saying something for Sony. Sony has a lot going on right now, we shall soon see the PS3's new playing cards, and those financial results are going to look rather interesting 1st and 2nd quarter of 2008.
