Sony: Over 20 million PSN accounts
The press release even breaks it up in smaller numbers with 5 million users within the first 14 months, adding another 5 million in the 8 following months to speed up to a whopping 10 million users in the last 7 months. Both PS3 and PSP users have been counted in those numbers.
Though PSN is free to subscribe, users can spend money on a wide variety of items and goodies like DLC packs, movies and upgrades. The whole package has generated over 180 million US dollars as of February 2009. While this is not bad, it is still quite pale when compared to Microsoft's $1 billion revenue if we can believe Joystiq.
