Sony buys Matrix Online

IGN is reporting that Sony has bought The Matrix Online from Monolith productions.

Monolith apparantly has decided to step out of the MMOG business with Sony picking up the remainders of The Matrix Online as well as rights for another upcoming MMOG based on DC comics stories.

I heard a lot of good stuff about their live events and such. But then again, Sony is firing parts of the development team so hopefully those events keep lasting.
