Sony claims leadership, mocks Microsoft, forgets Nintendo

Some nice quotes made by Sony Entertainment chairman Kazuo Hirai are to be read over at CVG where he is claiming 'official leadership' and accuses the Xbox 360 of 'lacking longevity'.

He even makes a slightly deeper analysis of things to come and concludes that in the end Sony shall claim its throne in console land again.
"Last time I checked, they've never had a console that's been on the market for more than four or five years and we've committed to a ten year life cycle, so you do the math.

"And unless things go really bad," added Hirai, "there's no way that at the end of a life cycle our competition is going to have a higher install base."
As usual when it comes to checking the score, both Microsoft and Sony 'forget' to count Nintendo's Wii.
"It's difficult to talk about Nintendo because we don't look at their console as being competitors. They're a different world and we operate in our world - that's kind of the way I look at things."
Man, those Sony big shots always crack me up even though he does have a valid point when it comes to having more experience than Microsoft.

You'd think sony would tuck that arrogance away posting billion dollar losses and all.

It didnt help them before the PS3 was launched and it wont help them now.
