A while ago, we reported about an alleged silver slimline PS2 of which Sony firmly denied its existence.

Yesterday, however, Sony sent out a press release that not only confirms the production, but even announces a May, 13th release date, along with a new range of satin silver accessories. The recommended retail price is €159.

The silver edition will be sold alongside the current black model.
