Sony decreases PSP production

One would think that the PSP launches in the US and Japan were quite succesful, and the seem to be, but apparantly not everything is going as Sony had hoped.
Sony has informed their suppliers that they expect "only" to sell 12 million units next year instead of the planned 18 million.
In comparison: Nintendo expects to sell about 20 million devices next year. No let's just hope there will still be enough produced for the European launch...
Sony has informed their suppliers that they expect "only" to sell 12 million units next year instead of the planned 18 million.
Nikkei BP says companies providing Sony with components for the portable had been told early in 2005 to expect orders for about 18 million units. However, during a meeting with its suppliers, Sony revealed its plan to manufacture 12 million machines.
In comparison: Nintendo expects to sell about 20 million devices next year. No let's just hope there will still be enough produced for the European launch...
