Sony doesn't want you to sue them

Posted on Thursday, 15 September 2011 by Speed, source: Sony
Updating your terms of service is one hell of a way to make sure you don't have to take any responsibility.

Sony Entertainment has updated their terms of service with regards to their Playstation Network service and it reads the following:
Class Action Waiver. ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS, WHETHER IN ARBITRATION OR COURT, WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION OR AS A NAMED OR UNNAMED MEMBER IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, REPRESENTATIVE OR PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL LEGALACTION, UNLESS BOTH YOU AND THE SONY ENTITY WITH WHICH YOU HAVE A DISPUTE SPECIFICALLY AGREE TO DO SO IN WRITING FOLLOWING INITIATION OF THE ARBITRATION.
So if you want to use PSN, you're no longer allowed to participate in any class action lawsuit against Sony if something goes wrong. This comes only months after PSN was hacked and personal information of customers was published out in the open...

Another PR blunder from Sony? Seems so!
