Sony game unit losses decline

Posted on Saturday, 3 May 2008 by Speed, source: Reuters
Although Sony hasn't posted their official financial results yet, Reuters have translated a Nikkei business daily report that states the company's operating profit has risen but that its forecast has been missed.

Sony's videogame division apparently saw its operating losses decline with about 100 billion yen in the year ended March 2008, making it a total of 232 billion yen.

As said, none of this is official yet and Sony has stated that these numbers are speculation from Nikkei business daily. Guess we'll have to wait until May 14th to see the official picture as that's the date Sony will announce its numbers.
