Sony has plans for a completely free MMO Game
John Smedley, the big chief of Sony Online Entertainment let us know that the company is planning to make a completely free MMO Game. No more monthly fee's like World of Warcraft or Everquest! They do plan to gain profit by letting gamers pay for special weapons or levels.
They have the intention of letting us play the game next fall.
"We're going to be launching this quickly," Smedley said, though he declined to reveal the game title. "We see it as a powerful way of getting people in" to online gaming, because many video game aficionados are put off by subscription-based games.

Actually it might be a good thing, all those nubs who eBay their shit can all flock to Sony's money fest.
Even so there is one victim, those poor Chinese farmers.
While I do like to see companies take initiative against farmers who sell their stuff to other players, I don’t think this is what most people had in mind. Ever since WoW came out Sony has realized that they have made an inferior MMO. So they have resorted to the "If you cant beat em, join em".
