Sony replies on awful Lair control scheme
Posted on Sunday, 30 September 2007 by L0k1-, source: Gametrailers
Phil Harrison, one of the big chiefs at Sony, responded on the awful Lair controls in a video interview of gametrailers. This Playstation 3 game was developed by Factor 5, famous for their Star Wars: Rogue Squadron on the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube. The game was using the SIXAXIS controller as an exclusive control scheme.
In other words, it was not Sony's fault but Factor 5 for ruining this beautiful game with the SIXAXIS feature.
It was definitely not mandated by us. We've always said all along that the use of the Sixaxis is something that should be decided by the developer in tune with their creative vision for the game, so it's not something we would mandate.
