Sony says PS3 pricing is 'a challenge'

Jack Tretton, who is in charge at Sony's entertainment department in the USA, admitted that the high price of the Playstation 3 is "a challenge", but that the software available for the console is worth that price.
This statement was given a few days after revealing the fact that Sony had some serious losses. It's no secret that the company had to invest a lot into the console, but in the long run they would be able to earn back their money, even when the console was priced a bit cheaper.
So, could you drop the price a bit please? Pretty please?
According to Reuters, Tretton conceded that the PS3's higher cost has been an obstacle, observing, "There's no question that that's a challenge."
However, Tretton continued, "Hopefully content helps to deliver the proof points and the justification behind the cost of the machine."
