Last week Sony launched another new firmware for the Playstation 3 but since then quite a lot of complaints have arrived regarding the 3.41 update.

Apparently the new firmware resulted in some people's console no longer functioning as it should. Some of the reactions found on the official forum include the following:
"First of I would like to thank Sony for breaking my PS3"
"All I could see was the green bar and THAT'S IT."
"I'm not happy as everything was working before the update and now whenever I load up the PS3 it crashes and loses all power."
A new update should now be available and solve all the problems from the previous one. Sony also apologised for all the trouble:
"If you are experiencing such symptoms when replacing the HDD of your PS3 system, we kindly ask you to use the latest data and try again. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, and appreciate your understanding and continued support. For any other questions, please contact your local customer service."
In April this year, Sony also had issues with the 3.21 firmware update with users reporting white screens after booting, disc read errors, blocked PSN accounts and in some cases even the console not starting up anymore..
