Sony wants to sell 15 million PS3s by March
Sony Entertainment's big boss Andrew House has said the company is still planning to sell 15 million PS3s by the end of their fiscal year, which ends March 2012.
The target is very ambitious. November 2nd this year Sony already sold 52 million consoles since launch. For comparison: Microsoft sold 57,6 million X360 consoles since the launch of their console.
In August the price for the PS3 was dropped and this should help during the crucial holiday period for setting up a succesful campaign.
House didn't want to give numbers of predictions regarding the launch of their new Vita handheld. He did say that the profitability would partially depend on the exchange rates between the Euro and the Yen.
The Vita has just been launched in Japan and will see the light of day over here in February next year.
