Sony: we don't care for GTA exclusivity
Sony really is either feeling overconfident, or they've lost all touch with reality.
In an interview with Thestreet.com, Jack Tretton, co-chief operating officer of Sony Computer Entertainment America, stated that Sony is not really concerned about the fact that the Grand Theft Auto series is no longer exclusive
The reporter clearly couldn't believe what he heard and posed the question again in a slightly different form:
So, although Sony has been making tons of money thanks to a couple of exclusive killer games like the Grand Theft Auto series, God of War and Final Fantasy, their head honchos don't care about them. Or at least they don't admit caring about them...

Last time around, your company had several exclusives on the Grand Theft Auto franchise, which many folks feel was the killer app for the PS2. You're not going to have that advantage this time around. How much does that hurt you?
There's no question that having the Grand Theft Auto franchise helped us a lot and helped us sell some units, but I don't think the battle would be any different with or without Grand Theft Auto.

He could have said he didn't think the loss of exclusivtity would affect them and that sales would still be very strong on the Ps3
