Soul Calibur 3 not Sony exclusive after all
Despite Sony sending out a press release last week that Soul Calibur 3 will be exclusive for PS2, Spong today has word that the game will be featured on next-gen consoles from Nintendo and Microsoft aswell.
According to what we can read at Spong, Namco started development for the PS2 but will ultimately also release the game on the next generation of consoles from Nintendo and Microsoft aswell. Here's what a Namco representative said to Spong :

Namco is definitely planning to develop the Soul Calibur series on the next-generation platforms. However, when we started development for SCIII, the specs for the next-generation platforms were not set, and there were no dev kits, which ultimately lead (sic) us to development on the PS2

Namco clearly stated the following:
A.) They will develop soul calibure games on next gen consoles.
B.) They were unable to develop SC3 for next gen because there were no dev kits available.
C.) Because none were available they decided to develop the game for the PS2.
Nothing above indicates that Namco is bringing the SC3 game to next gen.
